Catnip Tincture

Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is most notably known for it's stimulating effect on cats, however it has the exact opposite effect on humans. This herb is such a calming sedative that can really help transmute intense emotion, panic, fear, anxiety, rage and anger instantly.  
 
I would recommend Lemonbalm and Catnip in tandem to anyone who experiences strong emotional waves or a stressful way of life (new mothers included). Lemonbalm works wonderful as long term maintence on the the nervous system, but Catnip has that instant calming effect in the heat of any moment. I have also given a drop or so to my infant baby to relieve colic and teething pain.
 
Catnip can also be used to relieve menstrual pain, headaches, stomach cramps, and can really help relax the body into deep and restful sleep.
